Adventures without words

I can’t help myself. I love these books. Barbara Lehman is genius.  In books without words, her artwork captures the sense of childhood wonder, exploration, and discovery. I can “read” them over and over again.   She and David Weisner have blended reality with imagination in so many clever ways.
We picked up our first Lehman book, Trainstop, on a whim. The “train” aspect had instant appeal.  The unexpected adventure at the train stop is so sweet.

Our next favorite is Museum Trip, where a class trip  to the museum opens a door to a hidden adventure.

And who didn’t/doesn’t have a Secret Box of memories.
